Casemiro present for Fa cup clash against Nottingham Forest, Erik Ten Hag confirms

Erik ten Hag has provided an update on his Manchester United squad, ahead of Wednesday night's Emirates FA Cup fifth-round tie at Nottingham Forest.

The Reds are looking for a positive response to Saturday's Premier League defeat to Fulham and know victory at The City Ground would take us a step closer to reaching Wembley, with a last-eight spot up for grabs.

Having lost 2-1 to Nuno Espirito Santo's side earlier in the season, there is a chance to set the record straight in the 19:45 GMT kick-off.

Casemiro was forced off with a head injury during the weekend encounter with the Cottagers, following a clash of heads with Harrison Reed not long after half-time.

Although there was a concern he would be out of action, the manager has, happily, reported that the experienced midfielder is available to feature against Forest, having not suffered concussion.

"So it was bleeding, so he had to come off," explained Ten Hag at his post-match press conference. "It was not to our advantage that he couldn't continue the game. But he's available for tomorrow."

Rasmus Hojlund has joined the list of absentees, which also includes the likes of Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Mason Mount and Anthony Martial.

The Denmark international could be out for a couple of weeks, which meant Marcus Rashford starting in a central attacking position at the weekend.

Victor Lindelof played at left-back, replacing Shaw, while Omari Forson made his first senior start in the right-wing slot. Under-23s midfielder Toby Collyer was among the substitutes.
